Return and Exchange Policy for Purchases from the Burly Bear Online Store
As a priority The Burly Bear Online Store wants you to be satisfied with your product purchase. If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return or exchange the product(s) in accordance with the following procedures and or exception rules:
General Merchandise Rule
Notification for return of a product must be made within 30 days of receipt either by calling 816-635-9037 or e-mailing us at info@theburlybear.com.
All returned products must be unworn, in new condition, in the original unopened packaging with the original tickets attached and must be return shipped with the original purchase receipt or a copy enclosed along with a brief explanation letter if required.
With proper notification a product return number will be issued. The customer is responsible for all return packaging and shipping costs.
Gifts received from another party are not eligible for return. All returns must be made by the original purchaser and all credits will be issued to the original purchaser within the established time frame for product return. Credit will be made when the returned item has been received at the store.
Order cancellation can be made by calling the store at 816-635-9037 or by e-mailing us at info@theburlybear.com. If the purchase has not been processed there will not be any cancellation expense charged to the customer.
Purchased items cannot be exchanged for another item. The detailed return policy will apply.
Refunds will not be issued for shipping and handling costs.
Damaged or Defective Merchandise
If you receive a defective or damaged product or a product in error you must call the Burly Bear Store at 816-635-9037 or e-mail us at info@theburlybear.com within 5 days of receipt of the product to make special arrangements for its return or replacement. In most cases additional costs for shipping and handling will not apply.
Special Orders
In most cases Special Order items are not eligible for return. Those products will be marked as Special Order in the store. Special Order items are usually large in size and require special Freight Shipping.
Exception to this rule will be defective or damaged Special Order items. The Burly Bear Store will arrange for the replacement of any defective or damaged product received as a Special Order item at no additional cost to the customer.
Special order items can cancelled at no expense to the customer unless the order has been processed. Every effort will be made to cancel if the order has been processed. However, in most all cases a 15% restocking fee will apply.
Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are not eligible for return or refund.
For any item purchased with a gift certificate the return policy will be in-store credit only.
Clearance Items
Clearance items so marked in the store are not eligible for return unless found to be defective or damaged. Provisions of the Damaged or Defective Merchandise above must be followed for return or consideration regarding a clearance item.
